Making a Difference

It's a good feeling to make a difference in someone's life, whether assisting with job readiness, placing them into an educational program to better their future, or simply offering encouragement to those in need. Once in a while, our customers tell us how we've helped them.

"I thought that finding a job would be relatively easy, being that I had gone through college and also had a graduate degree. I was not emotionally prepared to enter into the present job market, where there is alot of competition for entry-level positions and where you may send a hundreds of resumes only to wait anxiously for one response. After months and months of persisting the search on my own with no results, I came across Allison Harris, from Polk Works. In just a few sessions, Allison gave me not only the tools to fine-tune my search, but she researched possible interview questions from my direct field and practiced with me on how to answer them. After my sessions with Polk Works, I felt confident to handle most any type of questions that were going to be thrown at me during the intense interviewing processes that is seemingly standard in todays job market. The time with Polk Works has made the ultimate difference in my search and I am happy to report that I have accepted one of the best job opportunities that I could have ever imagined possible. Thank you Allison and thank you Polk Works!!!"

To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to submit my highest recommendation for my Polk Works WIA Counselor, Ms. Pamela Young. Pamela has been honest and helpful in guiding me through the job search process, WIA testing and approval. She has even gone out of her way to see that I was put on the right track. I would most definitely recommend Ms. Young to any associate of mine who is seeking Polk Works services.

Sincerely,
